Tobruk has a great association with seniors groups from all parts of Australia. We are pleased to see so many repeat guests who have been coming to visit us for years. Perhaps it’s the fact that so many of our seniors were raised on farms and properties just like ours. Maybe it’s the chance to re-live old memories, enjoy billy tea and damper with a dash of ‘cocky’s joy’, the welcoming fire or simply relaxing with a sumptuous, home cooked country meal. It may even be the pristine gardens, country fresh air or the Blue Mountains views. And from what many have told us, it could even be handsome Dave or cheeky old Greg with their beautiful horses and smart but playful kelpies. One thing is for sure; every seniors group we have here at Tobruk has a good old laugh and returns home with a smile on their faces and a bounce in their step, or wheel or walking stick….

Our staff at Tobruk are dedicated to ensuring seniors groups are well looked after. We have been particularly appreciative of the support and loyalty shown to Tobruk by the many church groups, associations, Probas and Rotary groups, War Widows, veterans, disabled and nursing home groups which visit us every year.

Tobruk is regularly voted their No1 destination for day trips – for that we thank you and look forward to seeing you al again.

Tobruk offers a number of seniors specific programmes designed to fit with group budgets and includes:

A minimum booking of 30 people is normally required however we often have smaller groups who visit at the same time as other larger groups. So please, if you are unable to reach minimum numbers, contact us early when planning your event and we will be sure to accommodate you.

Seniors Standard Day and Night Program

A Day at the Family Farm

The seniors package includes the Tobruk Program and the Seniors BBQ Meal of:

  • Rissole, sausage, gravy, onions, roast potato, roast pumpkin, fresh garden salad,
  • Lamington, tea, coffee and traditional homemade Tobruk Anzac biscuits, and
  • Beverages including apple juice and Tobruk spring water.
  • Bar service is available.
This program is available as a day or evening package and reduced rates apply to all seniors groups, which make for a very competitive package. Please contact us for bookings and quotations.
 
Seniors Sing-a-long Program

A Good Old Sing-a-long

The Sing-a-Long package includes the Tobruk Program and the Seniors BBQ meal as noted above plus the following:

  • Live music with a singer / guitarist
  • The chance to sing-a-long to old bush and country ballads and old time classics
  • Song sheets
  • Free glass of wine

The sing-along is particularly popular in the summer months as it provides the opportunity for guests to enjoy the magnificent sunsets over the Blue Mountains clearly visible from our Restaurant balcony.

Christmas in Winter on the Farm

The Christmas in Winter package includes the Tobruk Program and a special Christmas meal of:

  • Roast turkey, cranberry jelly, gravy, onions, roast potato, roast pumpkin and other seasonal vegetables,
  • Tobruk Christmas pudding with custard, tea, coffee and traditional homemade Tobruk Anzac biscuits, and
  • Beverages including apple juice and Tobruk spring water.
  • Bar service is available.

In addition we ensure the restaurant is decorated with a Christmas theme to add to the ambience. Look out for our stockmen, their dogs and even the horses to also get into the Christmas spirit.

Christmas in Winter is a highlight of the year and runs from June through to August.
